So my boyfriend is part of this class action to sue Bar/Bri, the bar review course that can claim 85% of graduating law students as their customers. The ironic thing about this is not that we spend six figures over three years learning what we actually learn in 8 weeks, but that the criminal law lecturer actually pointed to Bar/Bri's monopoly in this area to reassure us that if we ALL got a question wrong, that only means we'd all get it right because there's no way the bar examiners will let 85% of the students get a question wrong.
Doesn't this sound like an exercise of monopoly power? What is wrong with this profession?
