Guess who's done her lawyering and Moot Court briefs? On time? Without cheating? Oh, yeah.

So, if you were thinking about asking me anything at all about the Indian Child Welfare Act, or the test for First Amendment rights to media access...don't.

Say hi to the newest addition to the family. She arrived 2 months early and doesn't have a name yet, but me and my cousin already have something in common -- we started out life in the premee ward.

Never mind that I weighed 3 times as much as she does. I think she's cuter.

On the way back from the pool and grocery store, I walked by a game shop and was struck by an abomination.

Someone had the nerve to put Lance Henrikssen on the cover of an X-Files board game. The nerve.

The more there is to do, the more I find excuses to screw around -- which is great for the blog, which is now sporting a banner of St. Denis street in Montreal.

So here's the insta-update for me at the moment: am living out of Furman Hall, trying to juggle (i.e. write) two briefs that are both due for next week; helping my liver recouperate from a fairly intense Spring Break by not drinking for a few days; trying to avoid people and not to think too hard about how I'm a terrible person that alternately flips out and/or messes with people's minds in a time of crisis; and showering at least twice a day as the only form of stress relief I can pack in between meals and pounding away at the laptop.

I find it strangely sad that my ancestors, brave monkey souls that they were, fought for generations for the privilege of running and walking upright only to have their progeny (i.e. me) waste away in uncomfortable chairs, basked in flourescent light with only a few lines of Wordsworth on the wall for company.

Just got a little package from Geneva yesterday, saying that I have health coverage for the summer but that it doesn't cover suicide.

Also, I'm working with the Ethics and Trade cluster at the WHO, which I guess sounds nice but still doesn't tell me who I'll be fetching coffee for.

Spring break, with an old friend and a few new ones.
